Tramontina, founded in 1911 by Valentin Tramontina, began as a small iron mill in the city of Carlos Barbosa, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. Ten decades later, it has become a significant industrial force in Brazil, with ten separate plants [eight in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, one in Belém, in the state of Pará, and another one in Recife, in the state of Pernambuco]. Tramontina has ten additional sites located abroad, including sales offices and distribution centers.
